It is indeed a wish granted for the Rain Or Shone Elastropainters center Beu Belga as he will join the rest of the Gilas Pilipinas crew in their trip to Lithuania.
Belga along side other PBA stars has been invited by cach Chot Reyes to join Gilas practice after the team was hit but misfortunes. Several players who are part of the Gilas pool was unavailable to join the trip mostly because of injuries. Kelly Williams went down on a sickness while fellow Talk N Text star Jared Dillinger got involved into an accident. Both players are ruled out of the pool. Another TNT player Ryan Reyes is also unavailble due to an injury while Sonny Thoss will also skip the trip to seek for a medical attention on his back injury. Meanwhile Greg Slaughter is currently playing in the semifinals of the PBA D-League will also most likely miss the trip.
These unfortunate happenings prompted Gilas to tap the services of Belga who has been impressive in his practices with the team. this has been confirmed by the Gilas team manager Butch Antonio after the final practice of the team Thursday night before they leave for Lithuania on Sunday for the two weeks training camp.

Taulava’s PBA Return for Ginebra is in Meralco’s Hands.
image via gmanews.tv
The has been a growing interest from Barangay
Ginebra fans to see the Fil-Tongan Asi Taulava play with their favourite team.
Actually Taulava himself said it on his twitter account that he would want to
retire with PBA’s most popular ball club.
According to an interview Taulava’s
manager, Sheryl Reyes said "He is very intense to play for Ginebra. Asi is
very vocal about it. He even posts it on Twitter. Some even say Asi was
lobbying, but he is not. He just wants to wear his favourite jersey before he
retires - and it’s obvious what that is.”
The task of bringing Taulava back to the
PBA with Ginebra SanMiguel team will not be easy. Everything will have to go
through Taulava’s former team Meralco Bolts. Before Taulava signs with the
Beermen on ABL, he was offered the maximum salary by Meralco which in turn gave
his playing right to them.
According to the terms of the PBA's uniform
player's contract, players offered maximum contract by the last team they
played for will not be eligible for the two-year sit-out rule, meaning their
rights are held by the mother team unless released or traded to another team.
Reports says that San Miguel and Meralco
officials have initiated the talks to get the services of Taulava to play for
Ginebra but the Bolts are asking for Ginebra’s first-round pick for 2013.
Sheryl Reyes said “Basta hindi sila
nagkasundo sa unang transaction. Then I asked Mr. Butch Antonio what else they
want for Asi’s rights, he said: ‘What could we offer?’ then San Miguel asked
them what they want, Sa ngayon, wala pa ring response ang Meralco about it”

Our National men’s basketball team, Gilas
Pilipinas is now looking for alternative tournaments after the organizers of
the Jones Cup in Taiwan ruled out the participation of the team to defend our
crown which they won in last year’s edition of the said tournament.
Coach Chot Reyes said “Japan is one of the
options, but that’s not yet final”. According to reports, team manager Butch
Antonio confirmed that Japan men’s basketball team asked for a possibility of
having tune-up games against Gilas Pilipinas.
Antonio said “But that’s not a tournament.
It’s just an invitation to play tune-up games with the Japan national team. We
are still working on the possible replacement for the Jones Cup”.
